Koi Pond

Privacy Policy

Effective 24 October 2026

The short version: Koi Pond keeps your game on your device. We don't run any servers, we don't ask for an account, and we don't collect your personal information. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and those ads use some device data, explained below. You can change your ad choices at any time.

This policy explains how the Koi Pond app for iPhone and iPad ("the app") handles information. The app is made by Ali Aldirsi ("we", "us"). If you have questions, email aajmabilal@gmail.com.

1. Information stored on your device

Your game progress (levels, stars, collected koi, streaks, hints and settings) is saved only on your device. We never receive it. It is removed when you delete the app. If you back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud or your computer, Apple may include it in that backup, under Apple's privacy terms.

Daily reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved.

2. Information we collect

None. We don't run servers, we have no user accounts, and the app contains no analytics service of our own. We can't see who plays or how.

3. Third-party services

The app uses a few services from other companies. They handle data under their own privacy policies.

Google AdMob (ads)

The free version of the app shows ads: a banner at the top of levels, an ad on the pause screen, occasional full-screen ads between levels, and optional ads you can choose to watch for a reward. Google may collect and use:

Google uses this to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise them. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple (purchases, Game Center)

Purchases (Remove Ads and Koi Pond VIP) are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Game Center is optional; if you sign in, Apple handles your Game Center profile, scores and achievements. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat (purchase status)

We use RevenueCat to check which purchases are active on your device. RevenueCat receives your purchase history from Apple together with a random, anonymous ID created by the app. It doesn't receive your name or email. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4. Your choices

5. Children

Koi Pond is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, email us and we'll help remove it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or state laws in the US such as California's), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't collect personal data ourselves, most requests are best directed to the services above, but we're happy to help: email aajmabilal@gmail.com. We don't sell personal information.

7. Security

Your progress stays on your device and is protected by iOS. Connections the app makes to the services above use encrypted HTTPS.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
